Trigg residential property gets concrete cancer treatment

Conspar has recently completed structural maintenance works at a residential property in Trigg.

The works involved concrete cancer treatment at the balcony of the property.

Concrete cancer occurs when moisture penetrates the concrete rusting the steel reinforcement within.

If left untreated, it can result in spalling (pieces of concrete breaking up and falling off) creating a safety hazard for occupants.

Spalling provides further opportunity for moisture to penetrate the building leading to the concrete cancer spreading to the extent of being able to comprise the building's structural integrity becoming a major safety and liability threat.
