Problem:

Extensive rising damp and longtitudinal to rooms below external ground level

Service carried out:

  • Prevention of internal dampness to sub-grade walls
  • Excavation of soil on external face to depth of footings
  • Installation of chemical injection dampcourse about the footings
  • Prevention of longtitidinal dampness by application of waterbased ashfelt membrance
  • Work was protected with coreflute sheets
  • Backfill of soil

Problem:

Concrete / steel lintel deteriorated as a result of concrete cancer, needing replacement. Areas of spalling concrete to surround of lintel and balustrade connections with balcony over

Service carried out:

  • Corroded steel beam lintel was replaced with hot-dipped galvinised beam
  • Concrete was reinstated with acrylic modified mortar
  • Balustrade fixings were exposed, prepared by wire-brushing, and treated with anti-rust coating
  • Concrete surrounds were reinstated with acrylic modified mortar
